SeeAbility
D&A choose SeeAbility as charity of the year
Dollond & Aitchison are pleased to announce that our new chosen charity is SeeAbility. Formerly known as The Royal School for the Blind, SeeAbility see beyond disability and enable blind and partially-sighted people with additional disabilities to achieve their full potential.
We are raising funds to support SeeAbility’s eye 2 eye Campaign. There are over 100,000 people with a learning disability in the UK who are in danger of loosing their sight needlessly. SeeAbility’s eye 2 eye Campaign aims to increase awareness of this issue and improve access to eye care for people with learning disabilities.
We are aiming to raise £100,000 for SeeAbility and their eye 2 eye Campaign. Our branches across the UK will be taking part in fundraising activities. In addition, we will be working with SeeAbility to ensure more optometrists receive the specialist training they need to provide access to eye tests for people with a learning disability.
